I'm new to archival work, but not unprepared. I've built my foundation through the industry's leading organizations and training programs:

Background

My path to archival research runs through libraries — most formatively as an outreach librarian in a corrections facility. It was demanding work. I served a wide range of personalities, many of them dealing with a lot, but I earned their trust by treating people with respect. Along the way I supervised library staff and managed large budgets and demanding projects. Every day, I researched difficult questions on behalf of the people I served — the same work I do now, in a different setting.

I also produced and edited 12 films for the library, and developed a screening series at the corrections facility and community libraries that paired each film with a panel discussion featuring the filmmakers.

Recent Archival Work

For a documentary production, I needed to scan magazines too large for any standard scanner. I sourced equipment that could handle the format and delivered ahead of deadline — giving the film's design team time to enhance the images for the screen.

Different locations, different tools — but the work has always been the same.
