Archival Research
Films have been one of my two lifelong teachers. Archival research for documentary film is where that education becomes professional practice.
In 2025, I was selected to participate in Netflix's Documentary Archival Research Training (DART) program. I've also studied archival research through workshops at Maine Media, building the skills to locate, evaluate, and license the historical footage, photographs, and documents that filmmakers need. The transition felt natural — a librarian's instinct for finding materials that others overlook is exactly what a good archival researcher brings to a production.
I'm a member of the Archival Producers Alliance and FOCAL International.
I also bring over ten years of experience as a video editor working with Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve, which means I understand footage not just as a researcher but as someone who has worked with it on a timeline.
